Zoom Background

Parent Note (Up)

Introduction

Zoom backgrounds are an easy win, but can add a touch of class and an ounce of consistency to the image that you are hoping to create. A templated zoom background is often an overkill for routine meetings, unless you find it necessary to hide the actual background. However, for the purpose of any meetings which will be recorded, and where the recording will be used in conjunction with any documents in template, a zoom background is highly recommended. This may be the case for either videos which are published online, or even included in any projects or submissions.

The method of creating a zoom background is simple. Any software from paint to powerpoint to photoshop, where you can create an image would work. More importantly, the thumbrules to follow while creating a zoom background are:
- Keep the background as plain as possible, such as a single colour, as opposed to excessive design. The focus should be on your video.
- Ensure that any text or logo is positioned such that it is not likely to be obstructed by your position in the video.
- Ensure that the text or logo is very succinct. For example, a simple logo and tagline in any corner.
- Create a lighter and darker variant of the zoom background, so that depending on the lighting, or clothing you wear, you may select an appropriate background.
- Create a regular and mirrored version of the zoom background, so that you may select the appropriate one, as a function of whether you mirror your zoom video.
